White & Brown

Toast, sandwiches and soups. I make these loaves for joy and everyday consumption! I like light, fluffy white bread, so these are done that way. The mill I source the flour from have the most amazing range of high protein, traditional white flour that is creamy, rich and beautiful to look at, I can feel it when I knead the dough. I don’t bother too much with toasting bread but my partner is a fan so I can confirm that toasting is acceptable.

The Brown loaves as expected are denser and thicker. But they’ve got the warm and nutty flavour I like. I rarely make plain brown, I like some cinnamon, all spice and nutmeg in them, it just works so well with butter and tea - yum.
